Lake Lurleen State Park in Coker, AL Ph: 205-339-1558 or 800-252-7275 Located 12 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Lake Lurleen covers 250 acres of the 1,625 acre park with 91 campsites available. Some of the campsites are situated right on the water with beautiful views! There are boats and canoe rentals that are available, 4 hiking trails, roped-off beach & swimming areas, fishing with anglers fish for bass, crappie, bream and catfish. Deerlick Creek Campground & Park in Tuscaloosa, AL Ph: (205) 759-1591. Deerlick Creek Campground is located on Holt Lake northeast of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Holt Lake offers areas for campers, boaters, swimmers, picnickers, hikers, and sightseers. There are 46 sites, 40 with electric and water hookups and 6 primitive sites. Additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, playground, multi-purpose court, fishing piers, a group shelter, swimming beach, hiking trails, and a paved bicycle trail. |

Smith Lake Park located in Cullman, Alabama This scenic park is located on beautiful Smith Lake which features over 500 miles of shoreline for camping and 21,000 acres of clear water for sport fishing, skiing, and boating. This back-to-nature park offers 200-plus tent and RV camp sites, a swimming pool and spiral water slide (in season), lake swimming, picnic area, and shelters. Rustic cabins are available near the lake. Other facilities include carpet golf course, boat launches, and playgrounds. The Cullman County Parks & Recreation Department host a number of special events & festivals at the park throughout the year.
There are many other RV Resorts around Smith Lake. Lewis Smith Lake offers over 21,000 acres of crystal clear water, scenic landscapes and record-breaking bass fishing. Her 500 miles of shoreline offers a variety of unmatched scenic beauty. It is perfect for fishing, skiing, scuba diving and boating. The area is also rich with history. Nearby you will find the beautiful Bankhead National Forest and Looney’s Tavern, an outdoor amphitheater and dinner theater and a river boat cruise that tours the lake. Also nearby are the Sipsey Wilderness and Houston Recreational areas.
